Plan catering and seating with a real contingency. A kwanjula that caters exactly to the RSVP list runs out.

Sound matters more than décor here

The proceedings are spoken and the audience is large and often outdoors. If elders at the back cannot hear the exchange, the ceremony has failed regardless of how it looks.

Agree the protocol order in writing

Both families should sign off the ceremony sequence in advance. This is the single most common source of tension on the day.
